KOSHEEN’S Darren Decoder has revealed how he DJed for The Edge before the chart-busting band became a household name.
Darren, who will be in Belfast with his band on September 26, was a regular feature in the now sadly defunct Kitchen club at U2’s Clarence Hotel.
He told Radar : " I used to love DJing in the Kitchen - it was one of the best clubs in terms of atmosphere that I have ever played at.
"One night when I was on the decks The Edge was in the special VIP area but although he could hear the tunes I never got to meet him even though I grew up listening to U2’s earlier material."
Darren is also a big fan of The Pogues and would rather go on the lash with Shane MacGowan than Bono.
"I love The Pogues and I think it would be the best fun ever to go and get blasted with Shane."
