It’s disheartening that the record industry cares only whether U2 "canstill sell like superstars" ["Searching for a Sound to Bridge the Decades," Feb. 9]. U2 has succeeded many times over, both artistically and commercially,for 17 years. If the industry thirsts for yet more milk from the Irish cashcow, perhaps they can shake Bono and the boys by the ankles until thecoins fall from their pockets. I look forward to hearing their new record,"Pop," whether it’s No. 1 or number nothing.
